When organizing a wedding there are endless decisions to make. How big should the guest list be? What style of meal should be served? What should the wedding colors be? What kind of music? What kind of wedding flowers are going to be ordered? All of these decisions play a pivotal role in how well your wedding day goes.

When deciding on wedding flowers the first thing you need to consider is do you want silk for your flowers or do you want fresh flowers. There are advantages to each. The advantage to choosing silk wedding flowers is that you will be able to keep them forever as a reminder of your special day. As well, as silk is never out of season, you can have any flower you like any time of year. You can even order the silk wedding flowers scented so they’ll smell just like real flowers.

If you choose fresh wedding flowers then you will have to pick what you want in your bouquets based on what is in season at the time you will be getting married. Fresh wedding flowers will also be more expensive than their silk counterparts. Some couples choose to do a mix with all the main bouquets and boutonnières being fresh flowers, but the bouquet you choose to throw before you leave is often silk to give the one who catches it a lasting memory of your wedding.

Whichever type of wedding flowers you choose you’ll want to accent the bouquets with ribbons. These ribbons can either be the same as your color theme, or the match the color of your bridesmaid’s dresses. Color is another consideration in choosing your wedding flowers. Some woman prefer the flowers all be white in the bridal bouquet, but they can be anything that appeals and accents your dress in a way that is pleasing to your eye.

Whichever you choose, silk or fresh, know that when you walk down that aisle on your wedding day the flowers will be looked at by all, but only after they admire how beautiful you look!
